Through the Hyundai Hope on Wheels program, a portion of every new Hyundai sold contributes to lifesaving pediatric cancer research.
As a proud Hyundai dealer in Langhorne, we're honored to be part of a nationwide effort that turns everyday car purchases into meaningful change for families across the country.
What Is Hyundai Hope on Wheels?
Founded in 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ending pediatric cancer through research funding and public awareness. Backed by Hyundai Motor America, more than 850 dealers and countless customers, the organization donates a portion of every new Hyundai sale to childhood cancer research.
This cause hits home for dealers and families alike. Pediatric cancer remains the leading disease-related cause of death for children in the United States, with a child diagnosed every 36 minutes. Yet less than 4% of federal cancer research funding is directed toward this area. That's exactly why the Hope on Wheels mission matters so much.
Real Progress, Powered by Research
Thanks to ongoing research investment, Hyundai Hope on Wheels and its participating dealers have helped raise the childhood cancer survival rate above 85%. While that progress is worth celebrating, the work is far from finished. Many forms of pediatric cancer remain high-risk, and one in five children diagnosed won't survive.
By funding innovative research and empowering scientists at every stage of their careers, Hyundai Hope on Wheels accelerates the search for cures. Your support fuels these breakthroughs, brings hope to families in difficult moments and helps build a future where childhood cancer is a thing of the past.
Every Handprint Tells a Story
One of the most moving parts of the program is its signature Handprint Ceremony. Each year, Hyundai Hope on Wheels visits children's hospitals across the country to donate funds and raise awareness. During these visits, young patients dip their hands in paint and leave their colorful handprints on Hyundai vehicles.
Those cars then travel nationwide, carrying vibrant, hopeful reminders of the children this mission serves. It's a powerful, visible symbol of the lives touched by the program and of the community rallying behind them.
What the Hyundai Hope on Wheels Logo Represents
The Hyundai Hope on Wheels emblem carries deep meaning through three simple icons:
- Heart (Love): We care for, respect and love the children, doctors, researchers and families in our community.
- Blue Icon (Hope): We bring hope to children and families facing pediatric cancer.
- Leaf (Recovery): We continuously support research to find treatments and serve as a leader in advocacy for the eradication of pediatric cancer.
