Hyundai Motor Company recently introduced the 2017 Ioniq -- which is made up of three electrified versions on the same platform -- at the New York International Auto Show. This fall, Hyundai will slowly roll-out the lineup, starting with the all-electric version; the release of the regular hybrid will follow with a winter launch and the roll-out will end with the plug-in hybrid, which is scheduled to launch next summer.

While all three promise to be remarkably efficient, the regular hybrid is on the fast track to becoming the most efficient on the market today -- so long as it does match up to the 58 mpg combined it's projecting. Currently, the 2016 Toyota Prius Eco is the most efficient, with a 56 mpg combined rating. All three models are fully equipped with well-appointed features like a standard 7-inch touchscreen display audio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, rearview camera, panoramic sunroof and heated front seats. The electric and plug-in hybrid boast LED lighting and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
