Simple Tips for Repairing Light Scratches

When your car is dinged or scratched, you might be able to save some money by repairing the damage on your own. Most light scratches can easily be taken care of with a few basic products and a little bit of work.

After cleaning your car and parking it in a shaded area, you should gently scuff the paint around the scratch with sandpaper that is at least 220 grit. While sanding, you must continuously rinse the area with clean water to remove contaminants. If the touch up paint didn’t come with an applicator, then you can use the end of a toothpick or matchstick.
